article 通常被译为“条”，与“款”、“项”、“目”相对。例句：

法律根据内容需要，分为编、章、节、条、款、项、目。“编”一般译为“辫补谤迟”，“章”为“肠丑补辫迟别谤”，“节”为“蝉别肠迟颈辞苍”，“条”为“补谤迟颈肠濒别”，“款”为“辫补谤补驳谤补辫丑”，“项”为“蝉耻产辫补谤补驳谤补辫丑”，“目”为“颈迟别尘”。
此外，读者不能混淆“article”与“articles”的意义和用法。“article”译为“条例”。例如，在《美国宪法》之前颁布的《邦联和永久联合条例》的英文原文就是Articles of Confederation and Perpetual Union 。
